COMMUNITY COUNCIL The next meeting of Ladybank and District Community Council is at 7.30pm tomorrow in Ladybank Tavern.

All are welcome to attend. RETIRED TEACHERS Dunfermlin­e’s Retired Teachers branch meets at 10.30am on Thursday in the Carnegie Hall lecture room.

George Beattie gives a talk on Dunfermlin­e in the 1800s. FETE VOLUNTEERS A meeting of Culross and Torryburn Church to plan the annual fete was cancelled due to ill health.

However, volunteers are still needed to run or help with stalls.

SCHIEHALLI­ON WALK Fife Walking Club meets at 10.30am on Saturday for a 6.5-mile walk to Schiehalli­on from Braes of Foss. Call the walk leader between 6pm and 8pm the night before if you intend to take part.

All are welcome at the event, which runs from 10am to 11.30am in the church hall at James Street in Pittenweem. INNER WHEEL OF CUPAR The monthly meeting took the form of an open event at which members were joined by ladies from surroundin­g clubs.

Brian Murray, a trustee of Cupar Museum and Heritage Centre, gave a talk on vanished great houses in north-east Fife.

The next meeting takes place on the last Wednesday in May at Fairways Restaurant, Elmwood Golf Club.
