Man denies child sex allegations

-

A Fife man has appeared in court accused of attempting to have under-age sex with a boy.

The charges involve alleged contact between David Jackson and an adult who had posed online as a 12-year-old.

Jackson, 36, from Kelty, is accused of going to the park with the intention of having sexual activity with a boy.

It is also alleged he sent sexual images to someone posing as a young boy.

Jackson appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and denied the three charges he is facing.

It is alleged that on various occasions between April 15 and May 26 he sent sexual images and a video containing sexual images to a person posing as a child under the age of 13.

It is also alleged that on various occasions between the same dates he sent sexual comments to an adult in the belief that the person was a child under 13.

A third charge alleges that on Saturday he travelled to Pittencrieff Park in Dunfermline, with the intention of meeting a person who he believed to be under the age of 16 and that he intended to engage in unlawful sexual activity with him or in his presence.

Jackson was allowed bail by Sheriff Linda Smith with special conditions. He was told that he cannot have any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16 and internet use restrictions were imposed.

Trial was set for September 3.
