Hotel among employers at fair

-

Employers will be recruiting at a jobs fair being held in Dunfermline next month.

Hosted by local SNP MP Douglas Chapman, the event takes place at the Del Farquharson Community Centre in Nethertown Broad Street on Friday July 6 from 11am-3pm.

Among the 25 employers at the event will be the town’s City Hotel.

Manager Callum Duncan said: “A jobs fair is great for the whole area and anything to try and help people find employment is a positive thing. It’s brilliant to see the local MP actively involved and wanting to make this event a real success.”

He added: “I know how hard it can be for people to find work due to just leaving school or college or other factors, so to give people that opportunity to meet employers face to face is sometimes better than trying to get a feel for a person through a CV.”

Mr Chapman said: “I’m delighted to have City Hotel on board as one of 25 employers appearing at next month’s West Fife Jobs Fair at the Del Farquharson Community Centre.

“I am immensely grateful to City Hotel and the other local employers who have signed up so far and I’m sure they will all recognise the potential of those going along on the day.

“Sometimes people just need a chance to either start a new job or restart their careers after having children or following redundancy elsewhere.”
