DAIRY RESULTS

BRITISH RED AND WHITE: Brian Yates, East Logan, Castle Douglas, with a heifer, Logan Integral Jodie Red by Blondin Integral, she calved in January and is giving 42l per day and she previously won the Scottish calf show. Reserve: Philip and James Mattinson, Rosewain, Wigton, with a heifer, Troutbeck Leonard Antie by Plattery Leonard, she calved in March and is giving 40l per day being shown for the first time.

AYRSHIRE: William Lindsay and Howard Batty, Harperfield, Lanark, with a third calver, Willowfields Winnie 2 by Westmossgiel Moher Nealty, she calved in May and is giving 52l per day. She was champion at Dumfries, Strathaven and East Kilbride last year. Reserve: Mungo Bryson, Whiteflat, Mauchline, with the sixth calver, Changue Martha by Changue Stadium, she calved in November and is giving 35l per day. She was champion at the Highland last year, champion at Ayr this year and has twice been champion at Agri-expo.

HOLSTEIN: Blythbridge Holsteins, Blyth, West Linton, with a second calver, Blythbridge Jessy by Maple-Downs-IGW Atwood, she calved in January and is giving 52l per day and she was first at the Highland as a heifer. Reserve: Evening Holsteins, Meadowview, Carlisle, with a second calver, Riverdane Ashlyn’s Gold by Mr Chassity Goldchip, she calved in November and is giving 45l per day. She was juniot champion at the Highland last year and intermediate champion at Dairy Expo.

JERSEY: Izzy Laird, Blyth, West Linton, with a third calver, Fourcrosses Anthony Carroza by Fourcrosses Allstar Anthony, she calved in December and is giving 28l per day. She was champion at Dairy Expo and reserve at the Highland last year. Reserve: Jim and Isobel Wilson, Carskerdo, Cupar, with a third calver, Enchanted Wizard Lass by Welsh Wizard, she calved in April and is giving 39l per day. She was junior champion at the Highland as a heifer and first at Agriscot. DAIRY SHORTHORN: Thomas and Stephen Moscrop, Ryeclose, Carlisle, with a fourth calver, Irthingelt Tavla 2nd by Skyhigh Hartland, she calved in January and is giving 35l per day and was being shown for the first time. Reserve: Martin Jackson, Richmoind, Thirsk, with a second calver, Bilbro Heather 2nd by Bilbro Barney, she calved in April and is giving 35l per day and has won three reserve championships this year.
