Appeal after assault and robbery
Police are appealing for witnesses following an early morning robbery in Kelty.
The victim was assaulted in his own home in North Drum Street at around 12.55am on Wednesday June 27.
Several people entered the property, assaulted a 58-yearold man and stole a number of items including a mobile phone.
One suspect made off on foot and was seen heading towards Keltyhill Road.
He was stocky and was wearing a grey hooded sweater, pulled up to cover his face.
Officers are currently carrying out inquiries and anyone with information is asked to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Christopher Dow from Dunfermline CID said: “Thankfully the victim was not seriously injured but he is understandably extremely shaken.
“We are keen to trace the suspect as soon as possible and would ask anyone with information that can help with our inquiries to get in touch.
“We believe he would have been in the area of North Drum Street shortly before 1am and then a short time later in Keltyhill Road.
“Anyone who noticed anything suspicious in these areas around this time is asked to get in contact.”
