COALTOWN OF BALGONIE. June Hutton, accompanied by border terrier Rhua, gave a talk on Therapets – an organisation that takes pets, mainly dogs, into hospitals, hospices and care homes so that patients can interact with them. INVERKEILOR. Members travelled to Pitlochry for their summer outing. They had lunch at Port Na Craig Restaurant before seeing Little Voice at the theatre.
CLEISH. Members took part in a walking treasure hunt around Kinross, organised by Hayley and Lynne. Refreshments were provided at Janette Craig’s house.
CAMERON. Members were joined by friends from New Gilston and Woodside for their summer outing to Linlithgow Palace, via a stop for coffee at Dobbies, Halbeath. High tea was enjoyed at the Park Bistro. President Joy Straith welcomed members for a taste and tell evening. Competitions: flower of the month – 1 Margaret Kirkcaldy, 2 Ann Morrison; words from Linlithgow Palace – 1 Kathryn Walker, 2 Margaret Kirkcaldy, 3 Margaret Lawson.
KILRY. Members held a party to celebrate the 81st anniversary. Gloria Mitchell told some funny stories and gave a talk on floral art.
