COALTOWN OF BALGONIE. June Hutton, accompanie­d by border terrier Rhua, gave a talk on Therapets – an organisati­on that takes pets, mainly dogs, into hospitals, hospices and care homes so that patients can interact with them. INVERKEILO­R. Members travelled to Pitlochry for their summer outing. They had lunch at Port Na Craig Restaurant before seeing Little Voice at the theatre.

CLEISH. Members took part in a walking treasure hunt around Kinross, organised by Hayley and Lynne. Refreshmen­ts were provided at Janette Craig’s house.

CAMERON. Members were joined by friends from New Gilston and Woodside for their summer outing to Linlithgow Palace, via a stop for coffee at Dobbies, Halbeath. High tea was enjoyed at the Park Bistro. President Joy Straith welcomed members for a taste and tell evening. KILRY. Members held a party to celebrate the 81st anniversar­y. Gloria Mitchell told some funny stories and gave a talk on floral art.
