Postcode lottery win for trio

Three people in Burntisland will be jumping for joy after discovering they have scooped a cash prize with People’s Postcode Lottery.

The Kerr Court residents will see their bank accounts boosted by £1,000 each thanks to the win after the neighbours netted the cash when their postcode, KY3 0JG, was drawn as the Daily Prize winner on Monday.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt offered her congratulations and said: “Well done to those who picked up a prize in Burntisland.

“What great news to get on a Monday – I hope they have a superb time spending the cash.

“Sign up to play with your postcode and you could be winning next.”

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised £320 million to date for 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

One good cause close to the winners that players have supported is Options In Life.

The group received £8,000 last year to expand its skills development programme for adults with learning disabilities.

The windfall comes more than a year after hundreds of People’s Postcode Lottery players celebrated their winnings in Kirkcaldy, after players in the KY2 postcode area shared an amazing £3 million.

A special event was held in the town’s Beveridge Park to mark the occasion and hand out the big prizes.
