Fife troll McInroy accused of attack on police in England
Serial internet troll Stewart McInroy was due appear in court in England charged with sending offensive Facebook messages.
The 27-year-old was arrested by police officers in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, on Saturday after a woman allegedly received the voice notes on social media.
McInroy, who is of no fixed abode but comes from Fife, has been charged with sending a malicious communication and a host of other charges.
He also stands accused of assaulting a police officer and attacking a detention officer following his arrest.
McInroy has also been accused of criminal damage by damaging a police radio.
He was due to appear at Hatfield Remand Court.
Meanwhile, Police Scotland is currently investigating allegations that McInroy has targeted the family of missing man Allan Bryant for a third time. The missing man’s father, Allan Snr, has claimed the troll again targeted his family, just days after being released from jail pending a sentencing appeal.
McInroy had been given an eight-month sentence at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on June 1 after admitting sending vile messages to the Bryant family on Facebook. But he was released from custody without special bail conditions on July 6 before travelling down south.
A spokeswoman for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: “Stewart McInroy,
27, of no fixed address, has been charged with sending a malicious communication (via Facebook), assaulting a police officer and assaulting a detention officer and criminal damage (damaging a police radio).”
