Cool time for skaters in city as ICE Camp gets under way
The 2018 Dundee Summer ICE Camp takes place this week.
Seventy skaters from across the UK and abroad will be at the Dundee Ice Arena where they will train alongside several Olympic coaches, Olympians, world and European championship competitors and national champions.
Heading the team will be Team GB Olympic coaches Simon and Debi Briggs.
Joining them are Dancing On Ice Star and this year’s runner-up with Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent, Matej Silecky.
Jenna McCorkell and Kevin Van Der Perren will also provide their coaching expertise.
McCorkell competed in two Olympic Winter Games and is an 11-time British Senior Ladies champion. She now coaches in Belgium alongside her husband Van Der Perren, a three-time Olympian, eight-time Belgian champion and two-time European bronze medallist.
The coaching team is completed by Yvonne Cameron and choreographer Andrew Smith. There will also be several off-ice experts in their fields.

“They will all bring new ideas to share with the skaters, and we are sure this year will be our best camp to date.
“With so many Olympic coaches, national champions, former Olympians and World and European competitors coming together at Dundee Ice Arena, it is an exciting time for the sport in Dundee.”
