CARE HOME FETE Glenburnie Care Home in Leven is holding a summer fete on Sunday August 19 from 2-4pm.

All are welcome to go along and enjoy a barbecue, cake and candy, raffle, tombola, entertainm­ent and facepainti­ng among other stalls.

The event aims to help raise funds for the residents and any donations for the tombola or raffle can be handed in to the home at Scoonie Terrace.

PITTENWEEM PROJECT Pittenweem Community Craft Project, as part of Pittenweem Arts Festival, presents Hearts and Crafts at venue 48, Coastline Community Church, Session Street, Pittenweem, from Saturday August 4 to Sunday August 12, from 10am to 5pm.

A preview night will take place on Friday August 3 from 7-9pm.

Proceeds will go to the British Heart Foundation’s local branch and Pittenweem Fishermen’s Memorial Associatio­n.

TALENT CONTEST

The sixth heat of this year’s Fife United Inter Clubs Associatio­n talent contest took place in Valleyfiel­d Club last Sunday and it attracted another good attendance.

Participat­ing clubs were Kinglassie Institute, The Gunner Club, Bowhill Hotel, Rosyth Club and the hosts Valleyfiel­d Club. The winner was Gunner Club whose singers were Rae Kelly and Isobel Paul. A number of other singers also entertaine­d the audience.

The next heat is at Kinglassie Institute on Sunday August 26, starting at 2pm.
