The Fife Walk­ing Club will take in Mel­rose to Lauder on the South­ern Up­land Way on Satur­day.

Walk­ers should meet be­fore 10.30am at the bus stop at The Av­enue, op­po­site the Golden Ban­nock and the Flat Cat Gall.


Pit­ten­weem Fish­er­men’s Memo­rial As­so­ci­a­tion in­vite all to view the ma­que­tte, by sculp­tor Alan Herriot, of the pro­posed com­mem­o­ra­tive statue to the fish­ing in­dus­try.

It will be in Pit­ten­weem Church from Satur­day to Au­gust 11.

There will also be a photo ex­hi­bi­tion of Pit­ten­weem Past, with some new im­ages many may not have seen be­fore, cou­pled with a flo­ral dis­play by the church ladies. En­try £2.


Sum­mer in the Loft at Ar­dross Farm near Elie will show­case orig­i­nal work from lo­cal artists and crafters in the up­stairs gallery from 9am to 5.30pm on both Satur­day and Sun­day.


The East Neuk fundrais­ing group for Macmil­lan Can­cer Sup­port is hold­ing two events fea­tur­ing ba­con rolls, soup, teas, cof­fees and cakes.

The first, from 10am to 4pm on Mon­day Au­gust 6, will be in aid of Macmil­lan Can­cer Sup­port and the sec­ond, the fol­low­ing day, will raise funds for Mary’s Meals.

Any­one plan­ning to visit Pit­ten­weem Arts Fes­ti­val on ei­ther day can find them at the junc­tion of Back­gate and Rou­tine Row, just south of James Street.
