WALKING

The Fife Walking Club will take in Melrose to Lauder on the Southern Upland Way on Saturday.

Walkers should meet before 10.30am at the bus stop at The Avenue, opposite the Golden Bannock and the Flat Cat Gall.

PITTENWEEM

Pittenweem Fishermen’s Memorial Associatio­n invite all to view the maquette, by sculptor Alan Herriot, of the proposed commemorat­ive statue to the fishing industry.

It will be in Pittenweem Church from Saturday to August 11.

There will also be a photo exhibition of Pittenweem Past, with some new images many may not have seen before, coupled with a floral display by the church ladies. Entry £2.

ELIE

Summer in the Loft at Ardross Farm near Elie will showcase original work from local artists and crafters in the upstairs gallery from 9am to 5.30pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

FUNDRAISER

The East Neuk fundraisin­g group for Macmillan Cancer Support is holding two events featuring bacon rolls, soup, teas, coffees and cakes.

The first, from 10am to 4pm on Monday August 6, will be in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and the second, the following day, will raise funds for Mary’s Meals.

Anyone planning to visit Pittenweem Arts Festival on either day can find them at the junction of Backgate and Routine Row, just south of James Street.
