-

Cupar woman Carolyn Allan has raised £1,532 for Breast Cancer Care by holding an afternoon tea at her home.

The 58-year-old senior childcare practitioner hosted between 50 and 60 people in aid of the charity after a friend was diagnosed with the disease.

She said: “I’d like to thank Allanhill Farm for donating the strawberries, also everyone who baked treats and helped out in the kitchen. I am truly grateful to all those who supported us and donated to Breast Cancer Care.”

Charity chief executive Samia al Qadhi said: “The funds raised will help us to continue to provide care, support and information for free to the 62,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer each year.”
