The HandleBards: Romeo and Juliet

The HandleBards are the world’s first cycling theatre company. Before touring their “seriously silly” production of Romeo and Juliet around the world, they pedalled it 1,500 miles around the UK, carrying all the necessary sets, props and costumes.
Now, the show is back by popular demand and you can join their allfemale troupe (the male troupe is touring with Twelfth Night) at the Pittenweem Arts Festival for Romeo and Juliet.
So what’s the play about? Well, Romeo and Juliet fall in love, despite the fact both their families hate each other. Hilarity ensues – well, sort of...
This performance is in the open air, so please dress for the weather and bring a lowbacked chair, rug or cushions and a picnic if you’d like. In the event of poor weather, the performance will take place indoors at the Church Hall in James Street.
