As part of The Beano’s birthday celebrations, a Broughty Ferry art gallery is hosting a special exhibition.
Eduardo Alessandro Studios, on Gray Street, is hosting a Happy Birthday Beano exhibition that runs until August 28.
The display of artwork by Beano owner DC Thomson’s officially endorsed printmaker John Patrick Reynolds features all the favourites, including Dennis the Menace, Minnie the Minx, and the Bash Street Kids.
Among the pictures on display (and on sale) are Dennis the Menace with his faithful hound Gnasher; Dennis being chased by the police; the Bash Street Kids getting up to various capers; Minnie the Minx and Beryl the Peril.
Eduardo Alessandro Studios is celebrating its own birthday this year. Founded in 1978 it’s celebrating its 40th birthday – exactly half the age of The Beano.
