Entrepreneurs prepare to pitch their ideas
Entrepreneurs who have gone through an intense 12-week business development programme in Dundee will pitch their ideas at a showcase later this month.
The third group of ambitious participants on the Accelerator programme run by Elevator are university and college students, staff and graduates.
Based at the Centre for Entrepreneurship on the Dundee University campus, the 16 participants have learned about business modelling, goal setting, market and opportunity identification as well as scale, growth and exit strategies.
The group are now preparing to present their business ideas at a showcase on August 30 where they will hope to attract mentors, investment, sales and partnership opportunities.
Assistant Accelerator manager Cat Ward said: “This has been a really exciting cohort with a very diverse range of ideas. The synergy of the group has been excellent.
“I’d also like to thank all the people who have given their time to speak to the group and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.”
Colin Sim, a Dundee University alumni, who is planning an online platform for motoring enthusiasts, said: “The Elevator process has been fantastic from a networking perspective.
“People have challenged my assumptions and the process has helped me narrow my business focus.”
Matthew Davis, who owns a data analysis firm, said: “The Accelerator programme helped me develop my idea so that it could be scalable.”
