Although the Seasons Art Classes are fairly new to Perth, Karenina has been running these art classes throughout Scotland for the past six years. The classes are designed for complete beginners to more advanced students. Whatever your level of ability, there is an emphasis on having fun and making new friends whilst learning new skills. Students often say that their art class day becomes their favourite day of the week!

We are about to start our second season of art classes and many of the students who attended the last season are returning, eager to learn more techniques and meet up with their friends. The curriculum changes every time, and this time we will have more autumnal themes. Many of our students have not picked up a pencil or paintbrush since school days (unless it is to do a spot of DIY)! It can be daunting to learn something new, and most people are very nervous on the first day, but those nerves soon disappear. We end each course with an art exhibition where friends and relatives are often amazed by the works of art produced.

When not teaching Seasons Art Classes, Karenina can be found beavering away in her studio in Ardagie. Her joyful, colourful paintings of Scottish landscapes have found homes in the UK as well as around the world. Karenina is taking part in the Perthshire Open Studios event, which runs from 1-9 September.
