An “idiotic” biker who smashed into a woman while he pulled wheelies on a pavement has been jailed.
Bradley Forsyth admitted driving dangerously on roads in Hilltown and Coldside in Dundee when he appeared at the city’s sheriff court.
His antics almost ended in tragedy when he crashed his motorcycle.
Forsyth, who had been released from jail only days before, drove “at excessive speed” on Clepington Road, Hilltown, Strathmartine Road and Kinghorne Road.
He admitted mounting and driving along a pavement and “repeatedly caused a wheel to leave the ground”.
During the rampage he drove the bike at a pedestrian and struck her.
Remarkably, despite being hit by the fast-moving bike, she was not injured.
Forsyth then drove the wrong way down a one-way street before entering a closed section of road, losing control of the bike and crashing it.
Video footage shot in the immediate aftermath of the crash showed the bike lying on the pavement and Forsyth making off on foot.
The 27-year-old, of Polepark Road, Dundee, pled guilty to charges of dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
The offences were committed on
August 22.
Defence solicitor Amy Fox said Forsyth had only been released from another jail term days earlier.
She added: “He has previous analagous offences and bought the motorcycle from someone but could not explain why he was driving it.”
Sheriff Alastair Brown jailed Forsyth for four months and banned him from driving for 18 months.
If he wants to legally return to the roads upon his release from prison, he will have to resit the driving test.
He said: “This behaviour was idiotic but it was worse than that because driving dangerously means you are putting other people at risk.
“It is inexcusable and you also drove without insurance so it would have been difficult for anyone to get any compensation for anything you did to them.”
