Life On Earth looks out of this world

Return to 12 furlong trip will suit Haggas charge

- THE FERRET

LIFE ON EARTH can return to her best dropped back in trip for the 188Bet Extra Place Races Handicap at Newcastle.

The three-year-old won two on the bounce over 12 furlongs before switching up to two miles at Musselburgh last time, but she was found out over that longer distance.

Beaten over eight lengths that day, Life On Earth looked a possible challenger with two furlongs to go, but her run petered out.

Returning to an extended 12 furlongs today should rekindle her fire and she has proved more than capable on an allweather surface in the past.

While her Champions Day entry looks to be flying a bit high at this stage, it will be disappointing if William Haggas’ runner cannot get back on track.

GLEEFUL can improve on her debut effort in the Racegoers Club 50th Anniversary EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes.

She finished third in what appeared a reasonable event at Kempton at the beginning of August and should improve for the experience as she was putting in all her best work at the finish.

Roger Varian still feels this Pivotal filly is good enough to merit the option of running in the Rockfel.

IMBUCATO struck gold over seven furlongs at Brighton last time and can make a successful switch up to a mile at that track.
