Men arrested after £16,000 worth of drugs seized

Police Scotland have arrested two men after more than £16,000 worth of class A and B drugs were seized in Kirkcaldy.

Officers executed two search warrants at properties on Oswald Road and Forth View after receiving special intelligen­ce.

Investigat­ors recovered a quantity of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of £8,600.

Around £8,000 worth of heroin was also seized by officers.

A man and vehicle were searched on Oswald Road and another man was stopped on Gas Wynd in connection with the drugs recovery which happened on Thursday.

Kieran Campbell appeared in private at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court yesterday charged in connection with the supply of drugs.

The 37-year-old, who is from Stranraer, made no plea and was granted bail.

A 30-year-old man is also expected to appear in court in due course.

Detective Inspector Lynne McQuade said: “We continue to work closely with colleagues across the east of Scotland and will use all resources at our disposal to remove illicit substances from our communitie­s.
