VETERAN HORSE SOCIETY SCOTTISH FINALS

On 16 September Highfield at Howe will be running the Veteran Horse Society Scottish Finals. This show is open to all horses and ponies over the age of 15, many have already qualified from shows all over Scotland. There is still an opportunit­y for any registered veterans to qualify as this show will include qualifying classes for the afternoon championsh­ips. All veteran horses and ponies are welcome at this show which includes both registered and non-registered classes. All veterans can compete in front of very experience­d judges from all over the UK. Our winter series of showcross dates will include The new Forth Road Bridge jump, alongside other Showcross favourites such as the keyhole. As usual, courses will be designed by Graham Barclay. Showcross weekenders for the rest of 2018 are 27/28 October, 24/25 November and 8/9 December.

Also due to the success and popularity of our Xmas Team Jumping we will be offering this event this year over 2 days 15/16 December which will be Christmas themed with loads of goodies available so get organising your teams.

The Centre also has both self- drive and ‘with a driver’ horsebox hire. With 2 3.5 tonne Equitrek lorries, it is a simple process to hire either of these lorries to get to a show, transport horses between yards or collect a new acquisitio­n.
