Museum entry

-

Only those who already have tickets to the museum over opening weekend should try to visit V&A Dundee on Saturday and Sunday. Each member of your party must have a museum ticket to gain entry to the museum.

Due to the high level of interest there may be queues over opening weekend, so those with tickets should arrive at least 15 minutes before their allocated timeslots.

Entry cannot be guaranteed for anyone who does not arrive in time for their allotted timeslot.

There may be some queuing, both inside and outside the museum, for those with tickets, so visitors are asked to be prepared for all weather.

A number of road closures will be in place over opening weekend, so those with tickets are asked to leave plenty of time for travelling to and from the museum and to use public transport, or walk, wherever possible.

Those with a ticket for the museum on Saturday are encouraged to make their way via the 3D Festival, which they can enjoy both before and after their visit. Everyone with tickets to visit the museum over opening weekend can also access the V&A via the entrance near Discovery Point.

Ocean Liners exhibition tickets will be available for sale in the museum on the day for those with museum tickets.

The museum does not have a cloakroom and only limited locker availability – please only bring what you need.

Parking will not be available at the museum. Information about nearby car parks can be found on the Dundee City Council website. After opening weekend, tickets will not be required to enter the museum. It will be open from 10am to 5pm daily as of Monday September 17. General entry is free.
