United Auctions in Stirling sold 231 sheep at the annual Lleyn Sheep Society show and sale, selling to a top of 650gn for a shearling ram from H Goldie, South Bowerhouse­s.

Females sold to a top of £170 twice, for the champion pen of gimmers from South Bowerhouse­s and again for a pen consigned by James Goldie.

Caledonian Marts Ltd in Stirling sold 1,785 prime lambs, ewes and tups, with 1,104 prime lambs ave 168p (-7.3p on the week, +6p on the year).

Top price to A Smith, Allanview for a Texel at £105. Top ppk went to I Campbell, Meikle Seggie, at 205.2ppkg for a pair of 41kg Beltex.

B&W Bullocks (24) averaged 133.52p to 199.50p per kg for a 554kg HFX from Newpark and to £1,105 for a 554kg HFX from Newpark. Heifers (457) averaged 203.08p to 243.70p per kg for a 435kg LimX from Glenkirlie and to £1,380 for a 682kg CHX from Clydeside.

Young bulls (40) averaged 211.84p to 237p per kg for a AAX from Newpark and £1,060 for a BRBX from Easter Greenhill. Beef cows (122) averaged 129.53p to 191.90p per kg for a BSX from Quixwood and to £1,490 for a SimX from Milton. Dairy Cows (30) averaged 89.76p to 133.40p per kg for a HOX from Nether Braco, to £915 for a BFX from Craigend. Forward cattle (13) averaged 136.44p to 168.30p per kg for a LimX from Waterside and to £1,150 for a BSX from Balgay.
