The long-awaited V&A Dundee has finally thrown open its doors to the public and its first exhibition Ocean Liners: Speed and Style presents a journey through the design stories of the world’s greatest ocean liners.

It includes the Titanic, Normandie, the Queen Mary and the Canberra, exploring how these impressive vessels helped shape the modern world.

From stylish posters to designer luggage, early bathing costumes and even a Cartier diamond and pearl tiara saved from the ill-fated Lusitania, the show celebrates a bygone age of glitz and glamour when these luxurious floating palaces ruled the waves.

Art retailer King and McGaw (kingandmcgaw.com) works with museums, galleries, cultural institutions and artists across the world to create stylish and affordable museum-quality images.

Founded in 1982 as a small screen-printing business in a Brighton basement, it has grown to have a factory and design studio in Newhaven, East Sussex.

It has an impressive range of images including posters, magazine covers and fine art prints.

Here, we take a look at some of the nautical-inspired works available, alongside suitably seaworthy home décor.
