The top two had to settle for a draw that means that Luncartys ta y top of the league.

Gary Sutherland’s great finish after 10 minutes put North End in front but the visitors levelled just before the half-hour when Tony Holt scored from a 25-yard free-kick.

Both sides had chances to win the game but neither manager will be too disappoint­ed with a point.

Blairgowri­e made it two wins from two games as they beat Brechin Vics 3-1 at Davie Park.

Sean Kelly, Ian Plenderlei­th and Matty Adam scored the goals in a win that lifts the Berrypicke­rs up to eighth place. Morgan Smith netted the Brechin consolatio­n

Coupar Angus turned in a much improved performanc­e at home to Arbroath Vics but were undone by an own goal from new boy Dell Newland.

Claudiu Tranca put Coupar in front on 20 minutes but Lewis Quinn equalised for the visitors just after half-time then on the hour came Newland’s own goal that saw the points head for the east coast.

East Craigie and Scone Thistle had to settle fora point a piece from a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Craigie Park.

Craig Mitchell put the Perth side in front from the spot on the hour but Andrew McDonald equalised with nine minutes to go.

It was very much a case of a game of two halves at Tulloch Park as Kinnoull took on Lochee Harp.

Kinnoull boss Alan Cameron read the riot act to his side at half-time after they had gone in trailing 3-1. Brad Miller and Aaron Conway had put the visitors 2-0 in front before Greg Whyte equalised from the spot on 42 minutes.

Harp went in 3-1 up when Conway hit his second right on half-time. However, the second half was all Kinnoull as Ben Ragen scored twice alongside goals from Mark Smith, Ryan Robb and David Gray as the home side went 6-2 in front.

Conway completed his hat-trick before Pat Brown completed the scoring and made it 7-4 with 10 minutes remaining.

Dundee Violet had to come from behind to beat Forfar Albion at Guthrie Park. Fraser Sturrock had given Albion the lead but two goals in the second half from Gavin Thomson and Andy Patullo saw Violet take all three points from the game.

North Region Super League

Montrose Roselea returned to the top of the Super League after winning 1-0 at Hermes in a rearranged game.

Roselea’s original opponents, Aberdeen University, were tied up with a Scottish Junior Cup replay but the change didn’t phase James Collier’s men as Marc Walker scored the only goal of the game on 41 minutes.

Premier League South

Kirk caldy YM went down 3-0 at home to runaway leaders Pumphersto­n and their day was made worse by the sendings-off of Sam Gillespie and Ryan McEwan.

Lochgelly Albert went down 2-1 to Armadale Thistle, Newburgh maintained their unbeaten record at home with a 2-1 win over Harthill Royal, Rosyth lost 2-1 at home to Livingston United and Lochore Welfare shared the spoils in a six-goal thriller away to Stoneyburn.
