INVERKEILOR. President Diane Parry welcomed members and Angus Federation chairman Maureen McLeod. Maureen Morrison gave a talk titled Mo’s Blethers. LUNANHEAD. Mrs Sturrock introduced Sheila Bruce and May Madden who gave hints and tips for entering the housewives and handcrafts sections of the Federation Show. Angus Federation chairman Maureen McLeod gave a short talk on the future of the Federation. MATTOCKS and WELLBANK. Members were treated to an evening of song by Joe Aitken. Competitions: Halloween cakes – E Macrury; lentil soup – 1 A Macrury, 2 E Macrury, 3 A Bruce; flower of the month – G Keillor.

LETHAM and DISTRICT. President Lynne Webster welcomed members to a ‘hands on’ craft evening with demonstrator/tutor Eileen Morrison. TANNADICE and OATHLAW. President Angela Hamper welcomed Shona Wallace who gave a talk on her trip to Nepal with Kirriemuir Rotary. Competitions: flower of the month – 1 B Smart, 2 A Hamper, 3 M Alexander; holiday souvenir – 1 J Wilkie, 2 M Alexander, 3 F Menmuir.

STRATHMARTINE. Mrs Kennedy introduced Nan Mitchell and she gave a talk on life after a stroke. Competitions: flower of the month – 1 Irene Dodds, 2 Margaret Kennedy, 3 Isobel Hewit; decoupage box – 1 Caty Allardyce, 2 Rita McLaren, 3 Margaret Kennedy.

CORTACHY. President Sandra Boath welcomed Sheila Bruce from Airlie WRI and May Hadden, Kilry WRI, and they gave advice on exhibiting at the Federation Show. Members are holding a silent auction in Memus Hall at 7.30pm on Friday October 19. All welcome.

ST CYRUS. President Kathleen Masson introduced Mhairi Kimmet, from the Angus Alive Ranger Service, who gave a talk on hedgehogs.
