EARLSFERRY and ELIE. President Monica Stewart welcomed members. Speaker Albert Lawrie’s topic was My Photos. He showed photographs of Elie and the surrounding area as well as some from a holiday in Cornwall. Competitions: flask of soup – 1 Deirdre Smith, 2 Margaret Lambie, 3 Robby Wilson; bramble jelly – 1 Irene Murray, 2 Robby Wilson, 3 Honor Woodcock; flower of the month – 1 Robby Wilson, 2 Deirdre Smith, 3 Irene Murray.
DUNDUFF and DISTRICT. Joint president Anne Marshall welcomed members. Anne then demonstrated upcycling denim and Mhairi Gillespie demonstrated needle felting. Competitions: item made with a paper plate – 1 Barbara Tosh, 2 Mhairi Gillespie; three treacle scones – Anne Marshall; flower of the month – Anne Marshall.
MILNATHORT. President Jean Paterson welcomed members. Andrew Sharples, from Brightwater Travel in Cupar, gave a talk on the company. Competitions: flower of the month – 1 Francis Shepherd, 2 Grace Drysdale, 3 Denise Stephenson; rhubarb and ginger jam – 1 Francis Shepherd, 2 Kathleen King, 3 Denise Stephenson; hat for a premature baby – 1 Francis Shepherd, 2 Pat Pilgrim, 3 Aileen Hunter. Members knitted lots of extra hats which will be given to a local hospital.
STAR. Members enjoyed a whist and domino drive. President Jane Smith thanked everyone for taking part.
KILCONQUHAR and COLINSBURGH. Elizabeth Goodall welcomed everyone to the members’ night. Competition: flower of the month – Irene Hamilton.
NEW GILSTON and WOODSIDE. President Jean Carr welcomed members to a question and answer evening about rural life and competitions. Competitions: floral autumn themed table centre – 1 Pip Coutts-Wood, 2 Catherine Guthrie; flower of the month – Maggie Free.
CARNOCK and GOWKHALL. Jim and Sandra Robb showed a film of their holiday exploring part of Scotland on their tandem bicycle. Competitions: individual cold sweet – Margaret Brown; nylon flowers – 1 Elizabeth Marshal, 2 Margaret Brown.
KILMANY. President Mrs Trail introduced Jill Ronaldson who gave a talk on the history of soap and showed samples of some that she makes herself. Competitions: bracelet – 1 Sheila Simmers, 2 Val Hynson; small trinket box – Sheila Simmers; flower of the month – Val Hynson.
CAMERON. President Joy Straith welcomed members from Kennoway SWI. Kennoway president Morag Gibson organised a quiz and then introduced Ann and Helen who gave poetry readings. Competitions: Cramb spoons: treacle tart – Margaret Lawson; halloween card – 1 Kathryn Walker, 2 Jackie Smith; flower of the month – 1 Grace Stewart, 2 Mo Robertson.
KINGSBARNS. President Ann Reid welcomed members. The Gospel Quartet Singers entertained. Competitions: three pieces of uncooked traybake – 1 Isobel Stuart, 2 Betty Kitching; flower of the month – Isobel Stuart.
