Google Digital Garage stops off in city

Businesses will have the chance to upgrade their IT skills for free when the Google Digital Garage rolls into town tomorrow.

Held in associatio­n with Business Gateway, the online giant will spend the morning providing face-to-face digital skills training at Scottish Enterprise’s base at Greenmarke­t, Dundee.

Three themed sessions will be held during the event, including an introducti­on for small businesses on how they can use digital marketing channels to build a business strategy.

The Google Digital Garage team will also look at how firms can align a social media strategy to their business goals and how companies can harness the power of Google Analytics to identify customer trends.

The session will include insights on website usage and customer preference­s when interactin­g with a company through digital means. Over the past two years, more than 200,000 people have taken part in the Google sessions.

“The Google Digital Garage visiting Dundee is a great opportunit­y for residents to gain new skills and knowledge,” Nicki Mearns of Business Gateway Dundee said.

“We all know how important digital technologi­es are to businesses and keeping up to date with the latest trends is crucial.

“This event is a fantastic opportunit­y for local businesses to see how they can reach more customers and increase their business potential.”
