Dame Barrie takes the reins at this year’s Perth panto

-

Panto fans are in for an extra treat as Perth Theatre’s family pantomime will star not one, but seven dames this year. Scotland’s leading panto dame, Barrie Hunter, will be joined by Ewan Somers to play seven dames in a quick-change frenzy in Snow White and the Seven Dames at Perth Theatre.

The Perth favourite will also make his directing debut on the seasonal spectacular. And families can expect the usual fun, laughter, songs and silliness that makes Perth panto the best in the land!

Artistic director of Perth Theatre, Lu Kemp, said:

“Perth’s family panto is the highlight of the year at Perth Theatre, one the whole company loves bringing to the stage and to our audience. Our dame Barrie Hunter is much loved locally, and this year’s panto celebrates with not one but seven dames.”

Barrie Hunter said: “I’m very excited to be back in Perth again for panto this year.

“There’s going to be loads of fun and frolics, plenty of madness and mayhem, not to mention pure hunners of sweeties and slapstick! And once you multiply that seven times over, well... I’ve never been great at maths, but I do know that’s a lot of sweeties!”

Sponsored by Thorntons Solicitors, Snow White and The Seven Dames is in Perth Theatre from Saturday December 1 until Saturday January 5.
