Glamis Castle has plenty to keep festive shoppers happy

-

The Christmas season is here and Glamis Castle is pleased to announce that it will be holding its annual Christmas market on the weekend of December 7, 8, and 9 from 10am to 5pm.

With the emphasis on quality food, crafts and Christmas gifts, the market has everything you need to make your holiday season the best ever.

While away a merry day at the stalls, make a special purchase in the castle’s own gift shop and take off the winter chill in the restaurant. Their festive menu is bound to set your tastebuds tingling and your mouth watering.

And don’t forget a tour of the castle: the ancestral home of the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne for more than 650 years. Need a tree for the holiday? For the first time in 2018 you can order your Christmas tree. Keep an eye on the website for further details. These are high quality, excellent trees that will fill your home with the sweet pine smell of Christmas.

Entrance to Glamis Christmas Market is free of charge. The gardens and grounds are free of charge that weekend. There is a parking charge of £4.

The 2018 winter season is already in full swing and the castle is open daily from 10.30am until 4pm, with the final tour of the day at 3pm.

No booking is necessary. The restaurant and shop will be open and you will find a warm welcome at Glamis Castle.
