Santa’s sleigh to tour town

-

Rudolph’s red-nose days are set to put an extra jingle in the charity coffers of Dunfermline Rotary Club and Dunfermline Round Table.

Santa and his little helpers will hit the road today on a six-night sleigh run around neighbourhoods to collect for local good causes.

After touring Queen Margaret Fauld and the Queensgate estate today, Santa will head to the Barratt estate at Duloch tomorrow and Wednesday and to the Dover Park area on Wednesday and Thursday.

Fergusson Road will be visited on Thursday and the Pitcorthie estate on Saturday and Sunday.

The Christmas capers continue when Santa and Rudolph park their sleigh outside the car park entrance to Tesco’s Fire Station store from 12-4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday and 4.30-6.30pm next Monday.

Santa’s final pit-stop will be Dunfermline High Street from 1-5pm on Saturday December 22.

Rotarian Graham Steedman said: “Santa’s sleigh is always a magnet for local youngsters as excitement mounts in the countdown to the big day.

“And Santa never fails to deliver Christmas cheer to deserving causes around the district.”

The round table said donations were channelled each year through Fife Council social work department to families to provide stocking fillers.
