Established in 2009, the Natural Energy Company is one of the longest established heat pump installation companies in Scotland.

As a firm of heat engineers, the company has earned the status of KEY Installer and Service Partner for Daikin, one of the world’s largest heat pump and air conditioning manufacturers and has established a reputation for outstanding technical knowledge and experience of Daikin air source heat pumps.

A true family firm, comprising Richard and Jenny McLaren, nephew Paul Robson and son David McLaren, the company offers solutions to their clients to reduce energy costs through highly efficient heating systems and solar panels, whether it be for a new build project or an existing house.

With installations as far afield as Orkney and Tiree, the company has over 400 successful Daikin heat pump installations, which are annually serviced and maintained.

Accredited under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme, their clients can apply for government funding and interest free loans to support the costs of installing renewable technologies.

Recognising not every property is suitable for a heat pump system, has prompted an important development for The Natural Energy Company.

In response to Daikin’s decision to build their own gas boiler factory, The Natural Energy Company has invested in engineer David McLaren’s training as a Gas Safe engineer.

Owner Richard McLaren explained: “For properties that are not suitable for a heat pump system, we can now offer a highly efficient gas boiler which we can install, service and maintain for those clients on the mains gas grid and LPG.

Daikin’s gas boilers are highly efficient, energy saving and can offer the homeowner real energy savings over an older boiler, with WiFi interactive control for people on the move. The Daikin GCU Compact boiler offers connection to solar panels giving further energy savings to homeowners”.

Through their recent ‘Planet not Plastic’ campaign, they have extended their concern for the environment by selling a range of Eco Cleaning Products and now offer a refill service enabling customers to bring their own plastic bottles, saving plastic waste.
