Violet given boost ahead of Vics clash

-

Violet boss Andy Heggie was delighted with his young side’s Premier League North win over Lochee Harp in midweek and he was full of praise for his troops as they travel north to face Arbroath Vics at Ogilvy Park.

Vics, meanwhile, beat Coupar Angus at Foxhall Park and manager Eddie Gray expects to be without Michael Fotheringham but Kellon Lyons and Ben Fraser should return.

Violet will have the same squad and have placed Andy Patullo on the transfer list, with all inquiries to the manager.

Blairgowrie face Forfar Albion at Davie Park and will be confident of taking all three points after their midweek win at Brechin Vics.

Blair boss Mark Brash should have the same squad available as in midweek. Albion’s Steven Stewart is without Joe Kidd and Ross Bell who has joined Tayport on loan.

Brechin Vics manager Iain Ross has the same squad that were beaten by Blairgowrie in midweek as they face Lochee Harp at Victoria Park.

Harp travel north still without six players through injury and Connaire Connelly is not available.

East Craigie thrashed Forfar Albion in midweek and will have the same squad available minus Conan Howett, who is on holiday, as the Shipbuilders face Coupar Angus at Craigie Park.

The visitors expect to have the same players available that lost at home to Arbroath Vics.

Newburgh manager Scott Hudson will be asking his side to maintain their run at the top of the Premier League South as they entertain Kirkcaldy & Dysart at East Shore Park.

While Burgh were winning at Lochgelly in midweek, the visitors drew 1-1 at home to Bo’ness United.

Hudson expects to have a full squad while Kirkcaldy manager Craig Ness is without Kyle Fenton, Scott Arbuckle and Dylan Hunter.

Bottom club Lochgelly Albert visit free-scoring Stoneyburn with manager Andy Healy struggling to put a team on the park such is the length of their injury list.

Rosyth had an excellent 5-0 win in midweek at West Calder and they travel to Clackmannanshire to take on Sauchie Juniors.

Tam Hampson is back for the Fife side and he comes straight in for the game.
