Muster at Festival

-

The Committee of the Festival of Remembrance put on by Angus, Perthshire and Fife Area of Royal British Legion Scotland are keen to hear from ex-service personnel of recent conflicts: Aden, Northern Ireland, Falklands, Bosnia, Serbia, Iraq & Afghanistan, and also holders of the Elizabeth Cross, to invite them to take part in the Muster at the Festival on Saturday November 2.

Taking part simply means walking down the aisle (to the applause of the audience!) and taking a seat on the stage to enjoy the Festival – nobody need make a speech or do anything special.

There are rehearsals in the afternoon, and information on timings etc. will be sent in advance.

Every year the Festival Committee welcome war widows to the event to recognise the price they paid; but many people might consider losing a son or daughter an even higher price, so the committee would also welcome contact from any family awarded the Elizabeth Cross, to recognise their sacrifice.

This year’s Festival is on Saturday November 2, 2019 in the Caird Hall, Dundee; joining instructions will be forwarded to you for the Muster, and the main thing is that you adhere to the times stated.

Please contact the convener Alastair W. McLean, 43 Strathmore Street, Broughty Ferry, Dundee, DD5 2PA, Tel 01382-778133, Mobile 07484-787969; or email alastair2912@gmail.com. Email would be the preferred method of contact, but information can be sent by post.
