Boogalusa
Flower and Food Festival favourites Boogalusa are back for their third appearance at the event. The Cajun/Zydeco six-piece from Dundee have toured extensively throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe, recorded five albums and will celebrate their 30th anniversary next year. Let’s dance!

Lux Lucis
Bringing sparse early Detroit and Chicago-inspired electronica with unexpected hooks and vocals, former Sonny Carntyne singer-songwriter and big chief of the wildly popular new Portsound show Dominic Venditozzi turns his attention more directly to spiritual themes in his craft. The result is unexpected and unique, ranging from beatless, blissed-out poetics to thundering minimalism that will have you put down your speciality goats cheese and groove around your new cacti.
Lonely Bones
Gillian, also known as Lonely Bones, is a singer/songwriter from Dundee. She often gigs around the city and is known for her unique covers as well as original songs.
Dundee Instrumental Band

Happy Ukes
Tayside Ukulele Club initially formed in March 2012 with six members learning to play and develop ukulele skills. As the club grew in numbers they reorganised themselves as the Happy Ukes ukulele club with the main purpose of developing playing skills and performing at fundraising concerts. There are currently 30 members, many joining the club as beginners. All members are encouraged to play at the concerts as part of the club’s development process.
Haystack Monolith
Haystack Monolith is the solo project from Mark of St Kilda Mailboat. With his modest nylon-strung guitar and occasional electronics, he hatches myths, sagas and fanciful tales.
Esperi
Multi-instrumentalist Chris James Marr’s music ranges from acoustic storytelling to colourful electronica, looping and combining different sounds with his acoustic guitar. He uses a host of instruments, from the conventional to the unusual, including his signature rainbow-coloured bells, toys, tools and samples. Chris lives on the east coast of Scotland and predominantly writes about his family, dogs, home and the great outdoors.
Bharatiya Ashram
The Dudhope Multicultural Centre dance group is dedicated to promoting Indian culture through arts and dance. The group has regular dance classes at the centre delivered by teacher Shweta Jariwala, an accomplished Kathak dancer. Kathak is one of the forms of Indian classical dance from North India and was created for storytelling from one village to another. The dance group is very popular, regularly being invited to perform around Scotland. Classes are also provided in Bharatanatyam, a classical form of dance from South India.
Shaper Caper
Shaper/Caper’s Youth Council: The Body, presents Silver City. A term coined by the poet Marion Angus for the city of Dundee, Silver City is a celebration of place through history, a shout-out of memories linked to this area with a vibrant past and present that will shape its future.
Showcase the Street
Showcase the Street are an award-winning charity with dance classes running from their Dundee facility at Manhattan works, with further classes running in Birkhill and Inchture. Classes for three-18 years old in street dance, ballet and musical theatre, each costing just £4, can be found by going to the website at showcasethestreet.co.uk where you can also enquire about spaces. Ultra Dance provide fun and affordable dance classes for children aged between three-11 years old in Dundee.
The Giant Seagulls
Totally surrealistic, these cheeky sea birds have had audiences in a flap all over the world. Giant cheeky gulls with working beaks, they’ll rummage in bags and pockets, steal food from plates and picnic baskets, squabble amongst themselves and generally cause a fuss. Shrieks of laughter follow them wherever they go.
Showboat Circus present Angus and Maggie
Angus and Maggie are larger than life gentlefolk who just love a day out! Don’t let their height and status fool you; they really are quite down to earth... Two Big Folk are salt of the earth musicians who live to play toe-tapping tunes to happy crowds.
Taoist Tai Chi Society of Great Britain
The ancient Chinese believed that true health comes when body, mind and spirit work together in harmony — Taoist Tai Chi® arts grew out of this tradition. A volunteer organization with locations in 26 countries, focused on furthering the aims and objectives established by founder, Master Moy Lin Shin. www.taoisttaichi.org
Elite Falconry
Birds of prey, like people, come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colours, flying in all sorts of different ways. During Elite Falconry’s two flying demonstrations on each day of the show, they will be flying birds from all across that varied spectrum from some of the smallest, to some of the largest. They will fly stealthy owls, agile hawks, super-fast falcons, buoyant kites, vultures, and of course super powerful eagles. The static display of birds of prey allows you to get closer to the cast of characters. Staff will be on hand throughout to answer questions and chat in more detail about the birds, and the 4000-year-old art of falconry, and Elite Falconry’s work in the world of education and conservation.
Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre
Established in 1987, Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre is one of Scotland’s best-loved theatre companies for children and family audiences. On Friday visitors can attend The Wolf’s Tea Party, sit down if you dare and have tea with the Wolf from Red Riding Hood. Wearing Granny’s shawl and glasses, he will serve tea, talk about his adventures and how Granny and Red Riding Hood escaped from his clutches. Saturday, Clydebuilt will be performing The Three Giants, a comic Finn MacCool story for all the family, performed with life-sized body puppets and on Sunday a Puppet Making Workshop will take place, giving visitors the opportunity to make their own puppet.
Poppy Bubbles
Poppy Bubbles is a Bubbleologist and her greatest joy in life is blowing bubbles. Both children and adults will delight in this bubbletastic extravaganza as Poppy entertains the crowd with giant bubbles and glee. She will also let you try your hand at juggling and spinning plates. The Reel McKay
The Reel McKay are experienced Dundee musicians Brian & Coralea McKay, a father and daughter duo playing traditional music on a range of acoustic instruments comprising of tenor banjo, fiddles, mandoline, whistles, bodhran, and guest musician Steve Russell on guitar, with an exciting set on the Highland bagpipes to finish.
