Macron Scottish Junior Cup First Round

Newburgh were one of the unfortunate clubs to be drawn out for the first round and the Premier League South leaders face Super League South side Whitburn at East Shore Park.

Burgh manager Scott Hudson knows that Whitburn will be a step up for his young side. The Fife men expect to have the same squad available that made the trip to West Lothian last weekend.

Second Round

Coupar Angus travel to Dundee to face a wounded Downfield in confident mood following their 1-0 win at Brechin Vics but are well aware that the Spiders will be a step up from their usual opponents.

Manager Lindsay Cruickshanks expects to have the same squad that won last time out.

The bottom two in the Super League North meet in Round Two as Tayport welcome Forfar West End to The Canniepairt.

It’s fair to say that it has been a struggle for Chris McPherson since he took over at Tayport and he will be hoping that a win in the cup will kickstart their season but once again he is hampered by disciplinary issues as goalkeeper Jack Shaw is suspended but a positive is that Dayle Robertson returns from his second ban of the season.

Fife & Lothians Cup First Round

Kennoway Star Hearts seem to have put the poor start to the season behind them with three wins on the bounce and they are favourites to make it four as they face West Calder United at Treaton park in the Fife and Lothians Cup.

Hearts manager Matty Sadler is expected to have the same squad that beat Lochore Welfare 4-0 at Central Park.

Rosyth welcome fellow Premier League South side Sauchie Juniors CFC to The Fleet Grounds. The Fife men have lost just two of their seven league games and one of those was against Sauchie at Beechwood Park 3-2 so Rosyth will be looking for revenge. The Fifers expect to have the same squad that beat Bo’ness United CFC last weekend

Second Round

Lochore Welfare face a potential banana skin in the Fife & Lothians Cup as they travel to face new boys Linlithgow Rose CFC.

Welfare boss James Adam should have the same squad that lost at home to Kennoway other than Joe Dawson, who is suspended.

Luncarty boss Jonny Kelly is able to add Robbie Millar and Robbie Holden, who have both been out injured. Scone travel to Farquharson Park under the temporary charge of Sean Whitworth, who has a full squad available.
