St Leger sense with Logician

Gosden targets fifth victory

- By THE FERRET

LOGICIAN can maintain his unbeaten record by providing John Gosden with a fifth victory in the William Hill St Leger at Doncaster.

Logician brings flawless credentials to the Classic, having won all four of his races to date.

SHINE SO BRIGHT showed a very willing attitude when holding off the top-class filly Laurens at York, and a reproduction of that effort will make him the one to beat in the Hird Rail Group Park Hill Stakes.

Leading course trainer Mark Johnston is double-handed in the £40,000 feature race at Musselburgh.

The Kingsley House handler saddles

LORD LAMINGTON and

ANYONE CAN HAVE IT ALL in the Pommery Champagne Edinburgh Cup over two miles.

In total, Johnston has sent out 187 winners from 988 runners at the East Lothian venue and his haul sees well clear of anyone else.

And his big race duo will see him reach the magic 1,000 runner mark at Musselburgh as he has also been represented 10 times over jumps, albeit without success so far.

A new autumn slot for the Edinburgh Cup sees Sir Mark Prescott-trained HYDROPLANE among the 10-runner line-up.
