KIRRIEMUIR. Members celebrated the 100th birthday. President Chris Horrocks welcomed guests national chairman Linda Retson, federation chairman Maureen Macleod, federation secretary Valona Gouck, H and H convener Elma Dickens and May Kidd, ex-world president of ACWW, as well as present and former members of the institute. Linda Retson and Chris Horrocks cut the cake made by Ruth Fraser and decorated by Chris. Linda and Maureen spoke about the history of the SWRI. Chris then gave a talk on the Kirriemuir institute.
