COLLACE and KINROSSIE. Maggie Langelaan welcomed Sue Steele and her puppy. Sue gave a talk on how puppies are trained to become guide dogs. Competitio­ns: small knitted animal toy – 1 Sue Gray, 2 Lilian Watson; white chocolate and cranberry cookies – 1 Lilian Watson, 2 Sue Gray.

LUNDIE. Members enjoyed a talk by Derek Potter about his life and career in the Army and as the Queen’s piper. MONIKIE and NEWBIGGING. President Heather Whyte welcomed everyone to a members’ night of games and quizzes. PADANARAM. President Kay Forsyth introduced Pam Cairns, from the Free to Live Trust, who told of her years working as a doctor and her partnershi­p with the Seema’s Project in India.
