Even housebreakers can be judged in this way and from the “clean job” which he made at two houses, a housebreaker who has made his appearance in the west end of Dundee is no “‘prentice hand”, but an extremely nimble expert in the business. Teenagers risked a “catastrophic” train derailment after dumping a wheelie bin in the middle of a railway line in Carnoustie. One of the youths then stood on the tracks to film the impending crash. But a ScotRail driver slowed the train to a stop after spotting the mobile phone light in the distance. British Transport Police is now investigating the incident at the Anderson Street private crossing in Carnoustie around 7pm. Carnoustie independent councillor Brian Boyd said: “This could have been catastrophic.”
