Bonnyrigg Rose look to close gap

-

Bonnyrigg Rose will be looking to close the gap on Kelty to three points as they take on Civil Service Strollers at New Dundas Park in today’s only Lowland League fixture.

East of Scotland League Premier Division side Dundonald Bluebell stood toe to toe with Lowland League title contenders Bonnyrigg for 85 minutes and looked to be on course to cause a shock until George Hunter’s 87thminute equaliser took the tie to extra time. With Bluebell tiring, Bonnyrigg went on to win 4-2.

Bluebell boss Kevin Fotheringham acknowledged his side tired badly in midweek but will be wanting them to bounce back as they host Dunbar United at Moorside Park.

Fotheringham expects to have a full squad but expects to make changes.

Kinnoull take on Preston Athletic at the Pennypit in the First Division Inter Conference. They welcome back Lukas Kosinski, George Hughes and Gordon Norrie, but Rhys Davies is suspended and Dale Smart picked up an injury that will keep him out for a number of weeks.

Hill of Beath face a tough tie in the fifth round of the Challenge Cup, hosting Tranent. John Mitchell expects to have a full squad.

Burntisland Shipyard welcome Conference B side Dalkeith Thistle to Recreation Park in the League Cup first round. They have the same squad that thrashed Craigroyston 6-2 last weekend.

Oakley United face Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts at Blairwood Park in the League Cup.

Swifts were one of the few sides to play last weekend and were 5-0 winners against Hawick Royal

Albert. Grant Brough and Lee Duffy expect to have the same squad available.

Oakley manager Stewart Kenny will have the same squad that won at Leith Athletic last weekend.

Glenrothes are facing St Andrews United in a second-round tie at Warout Stadium.

Saints won 8-1 at Barnetts Park in October.

Co-manager John Martin is desperate for his side to get revenge for what was an embarrassing day. Glens are still without Fionn McLeod Kay. With four players carrying knocks, they will leave their selection late.

Saints boss Andy Brown knows Glenrothes will be out for revenge.

It has been an up and down season for Saints and can be summed up in their last fixture, a 3-1 defeat at home to Coldstream.

Saints are expected to be without Dylan Honeyman and Dylan Falconer through injury, and have a number of other players carrying knocks who will be given the maximum time to recover.

There is an all Premier Division clash at Riverside where Jeanfield Swifts take on Crossgates Primrose.

The two sides sit in mid table with Swifts just three points clear of the visitors but having played five games more.

Jeanfield boss Ross Gunnion has finally got a full-strength squad available as he welcomes back Connor McLaren and Paul Simpson.

Crossgates haven’t played competitively since the beginning of February when they were beaten 2-0 at Musselburgh.

Manager Alan Campbell is expected to have a full squad available for the trip to Perth
