● The East Neuk Festival, which was due to run from July 1 to 5, has been shelved. Organisers are asking ticket holders to consider donating their refunds to support freelance artists and contractors. The ENF Retreat, which gives up-and-coming musicians the chance to learn and spend time with world-class performers, will be rescheduled to later in the year, while a small number of projects will go ahead in 2021.

● The Aberdour Festival, pencilled in for July 24 to August 2, is also off. The committee say they aim to have a festival day or weekend when the village can get together and enjoy some of the traditional festival events when the situation improves. The remainder of the focus will be on the 2021 festival which will run from July 30 to August 8 next year.

● Dundee City Council has given details of the network of community support centres for children of key workers. They will be established at Balgarthno Campus; Claypotts Castle Primary; Coldside Campus; Grove Academy; North East Campus; Rowantree Primary; St Paul’s Academy and Tayview Primary. The centres will open on Monday for the provision of childcare for key workers and vulnerable children.

● Angus Accordion and Fiddle Festival will not be taking place in July. The bands booked for this year’s festival have all been booked for the 2021 festival in Arbroath. Full refunds will be given to ticket holders.

● All of Fife’s recycling centres are to be closed for at least the next seven days. The decision applies to the sites at Cowdenbeath, Cupar, Dalgety Bay, Dunfermline, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Ladybank, Lochgelly, Methil, Pittenweem and St Andrews.

● Members of Forfar JAC (young farmers’ club) collected different foodstuffs including on-farm local produce and donated it to the Angus Foodbank.

● All Fife Golf Trust courses will remain closed for play until advised otherwise. The trust manages the venues on behalf of Fife Council at Auchterderran, Cowdenbeath, Dunnikier Park, Glenrothes, Kinghorn, Lochore Meadows and Scoonie.

● Xplore Dundee has cut more services with passenger demand falling dramatically during the coronavirus crisis. From tomorrow core services will run to half-hourly timetables and minor services will be suspended including the 4, 23, 51, 57a/59, 137/138 and 139. School services have also been cut but the 36c is still running as normal in the morning.
