Demand drives closing date for sale
A 140-acre farm in Stirlingshire has attracted so much interest since it was launched on the market at the end of last month that a closing date has been set for July 28.
The land on Auchensalt Farm near Thornhill is classified as grade 3.2 throughout by the James Hutton Institute.
Alistair Christie of Galbraith, who is handling the sale of the farm, said: “The property has been met with a considerable amount of interest, with demand driving the decision to set a closing date. It is clear that there is significant demand for compact rural property at present.
“The sale of Auchensalt Farm represents an excellent opportunity for the purchaser to establish a small farming business in a wonderful scenic area.
“The farmhouse could be upgraded but there is also planning permission for the demolition of the farmhouse and the construction of a modern five-bedroom home which would offer the purchaser significant potential to increase the value of the asset and create a bespoke family home. The views from the property are outstanding.”
The farm is for sale as a whole offers over £680,000 or in two lots. for
