Perthshire tech firm’s recruitment platform to go international

A Perthshire tech firm has signed an international deal for its platform that analyses CVs to find the most suitable candidate for recruiters.

The artificial intelligence-driven web platform eTalent is used by clients such as packing giant Smurfit Kappa and several holders of Costa Coffee franchises.

The business, founded by Milnathort businessman Nik Plevan in 2009, has now entered into a partnership with an Irish distributor.

Dublin-based Venture Financial Recruitment has agreed a two-year revenue-share deal that is expected to be worth around £100,000 a year to eTalent.

Mr Plevan said: “We’re delighted to be bringing the benefits of eTalent to Irish businesses in our first overseas expansion.

“We felt it was best to do this via a licensed distributor as a local company has local knowledge and contacts which are essential in this business.

“I’m very confident Venture will create a strong presence for eTalent in the Republic and Northern Ireland.”

eTalent has tools to screen, review and test applications and leave the user with a shortlist of recommended candidates for interview.

Psychometrics lie at the heart of the eTalent system, which works on the basis that personality and behavioural profiling are the most powerful ways to predict which candidates will succeed.

It matches well with Venture Financial Recruitment, which was founded to offer a tailored recruitment partnership to finance teams inside multinational businesses. Venture’s clients span financial services and wider industry blue-chip firms.

Venture founder Dan McKeown said the Perthshire firm’s software was “truly disruptive”.

He added: “This software offers job advertising, candidate screening and psychometric testing all in one package. It is a genuine solution for clients facing volume recruitment.

“The hiring manager can see more information by clicking on any candidate, including testing results, answers to specific questions and personality traits.”

“I’m very confident Venture will create a strong presence for eTalent in the Republic and Northern Ireland. NIK PLEVAN
