Haws net late winner after Sauchie red card

Hill of Beath came from behind to beat 10-man Sauchie 2-1 at Keirs Park in the East of Scotland League Premier Division.

The visitors led at the break but Haws were level within seven minutes of the restart through Daniel Watt.

Sauchie were reduced to 10 men when Chris Brown was sent off, and Hill of Beath took advantage when Calum Adamson hit the winner with three minutes left.

In the First Division, Kirkcaldy & Dysart suffered a heavy defeat to Edinburgh South.

The hosts’ Ian Ballantyne had a hattrick inside the first 13 minutes before Wayne McIntosh made it four on 15 minutes and Sean Conaghan added a fifth just before half-time. The Fife side did manage a consolatio­n after the interval.

St Andrews United led twice at the Fleet Grounds against Rosyth but slumped to a 5-2 defeat.

Oakley United continued their great start to the season in Conference B, coming from behind to beat Easthouses Lily 3-1.

James McAteer and a brace from Jonny Harrison saw the points head back to Fife.

Lochore Welfare looked to have secured their first win of the season at 10man Stirling University but conceded a 94 thminute equaliser.

Kelty Hearts’ stay at the top of the Lowland League lasted just 24 hours with BSC Glasgow winning at home to Cumbernaul­d Colts and Bo’ness United drawing 1-1 with Civil Service Strollers.
