Man questioned over bombings released
A 65-year-old man held in connection with the murders of 21 people in the 1974 Birmingham pub bombings has been released.
The a r re s t on Wednesday came just days before the 46 th anniversary of the two deadly No v e m b e r 21 blasts which ripped apart the Mulberry Bush and Tavern In T he Town pubs.
The ind iv idua l , understood to be Michael Pa t r i c k R e i l l y, was arrested at an address in Belfast on Wednesday morning by officers from West Midlands Police assisted by the Police Service of No r t h e r n Ireland (PSNI).
He was arrested under the Terrorism Act and taken to Musgrave Street PSNI custody block in the c i t y, while searches continued at his address throughout the day.
