Foot-bathing product walks off with prize

A foot-bathing solution was crowned cream of the crop at this year’s Agr iSco t Produc t Innovation Awards.

The Deosan HH+ hoof care product from Diversey impressed judges for “doing what it says on the tin” and for being less toxic and easier to dispose of than other foot-bathing products.

Dav id Jack son , Diversey’s Scottish and Cumbr ian account manager, said: “Deosan HH+ directly improves the s trength and structure of the hoof without masking the symptoms of lameness.

“The product is 100% w at e r - s o l u b l e , which significan­tly reduces its environmen­tal impact.”

Th e runn e r -up products for the award were: a new rat bait formulatio­n from BASF named Storm Ultra Secure; DeLaval’s VMS V310 robot milking m a c h i n e ; a n d Kverneland’s MD Disc, which is a new system for h igh - speed c rop establishm­ent.
