JUNIORS – The curtain comes down on the McBookie.com Midlands League season tonight with the final two games taking place. Brechin Vics were without a game last week but complete their season with the visit of Dundee North End to Victoria Park.

North End were badly hit by injury and suspensions at the weekend as they were beaten 6-0 by Lochee United in the Thorntons Property Cup quarter-final.

Like their hosts, tonight’s game is their final match of the season. Vics are expected to have a full squad available, minus Lawrie Mitchell who is suspended, while North End will be without striker Gary Sutherland, who has announced that he will be leaving the club after a number of seasons. Ross Lunan is able to welcome back Mark Stewart and Liam Gibb after they missed Saturday’s game.

Lochee United could be excused for having one

eye on their Thorntons Property Cup semi-final on Saturday as they visit Dundee St James tonight. With Saturday’s game in mind and with a couple of injuries, United boss George Shields is likely to rest a couple of players and use his squad.
