Sturgeon indy talk insults Ukraine

-

Sir, – I have been reading that First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is in the

United States, and in an interview likened the war in Ukraine to the fight for independence.

This is absolutely sickening.

I didn’t think she could not sink any lower, but she indeed could!

Millions of people without a home, thousands of people wounded or dead, thousands tortured and murdered, women and children raped, a country destroyed.

Here we have an FM abusing this terrible war to make her case!?

What is she doing in the US anyway, where there is so much to solve here in Scotland?

Who does she thinks she is?

For many years now the FM and her SNP party have neglected the real needs of Scotland, from the NHS to the attainment gap, from social services to environment, from care for the disabled and elderly to the quality of the roads, the poverty in families, the homelesness and the drug deaths.

Not to speak about the thousands of elderly that died in care homes, the unknown number of deaths of disabled in homes, the people driven to suicide because of the total of lack of help, all during the pandemic and lockdowns.

Elderly still deprived from their loved ones as the first minister is too feart to accept laws to protect the elderly.

This nationalist government has brought the whole of Scotland down to the lowest standards ever.

I am absolutely disgusted and appalled by her selfimportance, and thinking that she is an important world player.

She should be deeply ashamed of herself, to abuse something as horrible as this war in the Ukraine for her political gain.

Mrs Maaike Cook. Cash Feus, Strathmiglo.
