Swifts start life under Scullion’s successors

-

Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts have announced the departure of manager Pat Scullion, his coaching team and striker Greig Spence.

Iain Mauchlan, Craig Morrison and Stuart Innes have taken over.

The new team’s first game is against high-flying Crossgates Primrose at home.

Alan Campbell’s Primrose sit in second place behind leaders Linlithgow and will be tough opponents for a Swifts side that were beaten 6-3 at home by Bo’ness Athletic in their last game.

It is derby day in Fife today as Dundonald Bluebell welcome Hill of Beath Hawthorn to Moorside Park.

The hosts were without a game last week while the Haws were unlucky to go out of the Scottish Cup to Elgin City at Kiers Park.

The break has allowed a few niggles to recover for Bluebell and manager Stephen Husband has a full squad to choose from.

Haws manager Jason Dair will need to check up on a number of his squad after the heavy conditions last weekend took their toll but is still expecting to have a full squad on duty.

Kinnoull manager Alan Cameron will be looking for his side to take maximum points from their First Division home clash with Rosyth to get his side’s promotion challenge back on track.

The Perth side are four points behind Glenrothes in third place from a game more and the Perth side can’t afford to drop further points if they are to be considered as promotion candidates.

Kirkcaldy & Dysart manager Craig Ness is without the suspended trio of Ryan McGowan, Ryan McEwan and Mark Wilkie and the injured Dion Gear for the home game against Kennoway Star Hearts.

Kyle Green, Chris

Anton and Scott Sutherland are injured for Alex Jack Cup winners Luncarty, who are away to Lochore Welfare.

The Fife side expect to have the same squad that took Blackburn to extra time in the Qualifying Cup last week.

Glenrothes will be hoping they can bounce back from their disappointing defeat at home to Camelon last week as they make the short trip to Burntisland Shipyard.

In the Second Division, Thornton Hibs manager Craig Gilbert is looking for his side to put the disappointment of their defeat in the Alex Jack Cup final behind them as they hit the road to take on Hawick Royal Albert.

Newburgh face a tough trip to Central Park to face title-chasing Whitburn and if that wasn’t hard enough, the East Shore Park have a very long injury list with eight first-choice players all missing.

St Andrews United will be hoping they are a bit more fortunate in front of goal as they host Tweedmouth Rangers.

Saints hit the woodwork four times last week against Peebles and had more than 20 efforts on target. Reece Redpath is out injured while Ryan Dignan has returned from holiday with a virus and at best will be a substitute.

Lochgelly Albert were unlucky to go down 3-2 at home to Dalkeith Thistle last week and face another of the top three sides in leaders Syngenta this afternoon.

Coupar Angus, who enjoyed a fine 5-1 win over Dundee St James last week, visit title-chasing Kirrie Thistle in the McBookie.com Midlands League.

Blairgowrie, who were unlucky to lose their clash with Dundee Violet last week, host Letham at Davie Park.

Blair will be without the suspended Craig McLellan while Letham – 2-0 winners at home to Forfar West End – are missing Alan Cunningham.

Scone Thistle return to action after three weeks on the sidelines when they host Brechin Vics in the Thornton Property Cup second round.
