Celebrity pair judge crisp campaign

-

CELEBRITY CHEF Marco Pierre White and comedian David Walliams will be helping to choose a new flavour for Walkers crisps.

The pair are heading up the judging panel for the brand’s Do Us A Flavour campaign — a nationwide search for a new flavour combination.

More than 325,000 entries have been received so far, with only weeks left before the competition closes on March 5.

White and Walliams will join a panel of experts to whittle down the entries to six finalists.

Walliams said: “I’m looking for creativity and diversity, something that stands out. I’m excited to see what flavour suggestion the nation will come up with.

“Going by what I know the British public are capable of, it’ll be interesting ... especially with £1 million up for grabs!”

The six flavours will be developed by Walkers and sold nationwide.

Members of the public will then be asked to vote for their favourite flavours.

The creator of the winning flavour will receive £1 million while the five runners-up will each take home £10,000.

White said: “As a nation, we are incredibly proud of the quality of our homegrown ingredients and I’m eager to see how the British public will incorporate these ingredients to create the next best flavour.

“For me, it’s important that the top six are flavour suggestions that taste and sound fantastic.”
